Are You Ready For Some FOOTBALL?!!!

I never thought we would love football at our house...boy was I wrong. I've always been thankful that Kelly wasn't that guy that had to have a game on at all times. In the 11 years that we have been together I can't remember ever sitting down and watching a football game on TV. It's not that Kelly doesn't like sports...he just never made it a priority! Things have definitely changed at our house. Asa is obsessed with football!!! I'm not complaining...I'm actually enjoying it! We sit down as a family and watch the games together...it's becoming a real learning experience for me. I know all 32 teams...what their helmets look like...who the quarterback is for each team...what "sacked" means....and a whole lot more information that I never thought I cared about. It's so fun to see Asa excited about it...he even plans on playing in the NFL one day...so keep an eye out for him.

We went to a Falcons game together and that was a BLAST! Then Kelly and Asa went back to another one...just the boys. I'm sad the season will be over soon...can't wait for it to start back! I can't believe I'm saying that!!!

He's Back!

Once again our elf "Hoss" has returned. He usually brings a small gift for Iris and Asa...to give them some incentive for being good over the next few weeks! This year he brought Christmas candy and a new ornament for their tree.
Let the FUN begin!!!

Iris-Anne turns 9!

I can't believe my baby girl is 9! We took a special trip to American Girl in Atlanta...which we do each year for her birthday. Iris also had a gymnastics party with her girlfriends...it was lots of fun!
Happy Birthday Iris....I love you!

It's Been A While!

I haven't posted anything to our blog in so long! We have been so busy that I just haven't had the time. I'm not a fan of sitting at the computer anyway...so it takes a lot for me to sit down and write a post.
We are still waiting to complete our adoption. There are still days that I don't believe it is going to happen. It has been 2 years since we started the process and it doesn't seem like we are any closer to bringing our child home...but I know we are getting there. This adoption had not been fast or easy...but I believe this is the way God planned it. It has taught me to be patient and put my trust in Him and just to know that He is in complete control. If this adoption had been easy I would not have learned near as much. God knows the exact day this will all come to an end and I've just got to let that be enough. People may wonder why it's taking so long...I wish I knew...but God knows and that's all that matters! Everything good that has ever happended in my life has always come after some sort of pain or struggle...which makes it that much sweeter in the end. We are still waiting for our dossier to go to Ethiopia...and when it does I will post it on the blog.
As for now, here are some pictures of what has been going on with our family the past couple of months.

Still WAITING...for a brother or sister!
